How to share files using a LAN cable.

Want a huge files transferred from your friend laptop to yours? Worried that you don't own an HDD or a SSD? Don't worry  a cheap LAN cable can solve your problem. So this tutorial will be guiding you on how to transfer files (huge files) using a LAN cable.
PLEASE NOT: LAN file transfer is really slow and most of the time transfer speed will be less than 20Mb/sec.



You wont be needing any software or hardware other than a LAN cable for this method.
Connect both the laptops with a LAN cable. Once both the laptops are connected go to networks in the File explorer.
Go to the network tab and choose network option in the menu.

In the "network and sharing" select "Change advanced sharing settings"
Now change all the attributions as followed

Now that you have changed all these settings you device will be asked to sign out and Login again.
Both the the laptops should be configured the way mentioned above.




CONFIGURATION FOR THE PC WHICH SHARES THE FILE
Right click on the  folder you have to send and in the properties select advanced sharing. Select permissions and check all the items from "deny" to "allow". Your files can now be accessible from your friends laptop.

Now go to networks in the file explorer. Now you can see your friends PC/Laptops in the window. You will see a window like the one below when you double click it.



type in your friends username and admin password and then you can see the shared files. User name will be the name of the network itself, in this case "CHRIST".
