Use Webmaster tools and Analytic, this will give you a lot info about your audience and subscribers. Webmaster tools also helps you to find the performance of your site.

Building quality back links for your site will drastically increase the ranking of your blog/site, this will also help the site to be pulled up on top of the search results in  a very good way.
